Raise the Voting Age to 25

America is in a crisis because leftists are trying to impose democracy on the American republic following their corruption of American education to indoctrinate the young into their propaganda.  The Founders were ultimately wise in making America a republic rather than a democracy or an oligarchy, installing the Electoral College to prevent voter fraud ballot box stuffing as has been done by blues states.  Leftists have continually tried to transform America into a democracy because they know that democracies always devolve through corruption to become oligarchies.  The fallacy that Republicans are oligarchs is proven a lie with the election of Donald Trump who is actively draining the swamp trying to restore America to a limited government free enterprise.

People should not be given the right to vote until they are out of the childish social cliques of school and into the adult world of understanding what paying taxes means by responsibly working for a living.  Democrats rely on duping the ignorant into supporting their errant policies.  They want to lower the voting age to 16 so that high schoolers, who know nothing besides what they’ve been told to believe, will make decisions for adults.  I say we raise the voting age to 25 with two exemptions; at 21 for being a working payer of income tax of at least $1000, and at 18 for military service in the armed forces, law enforcement, or fire/rescue services.  Young adults who are responsible enough to serve in the military, or to get a job and make a good wage, prove they are adult enough to shoulder the responsibility of the vote.

In contrast, Democrats are giving the vote, not only to anyone that breaths, but to felons who took the rights of others thereby losing their right, and to foreign invaders they are importing as cheap labor and welfare voter slaves.  Democrats are engaging in an uncivil war against Republicans to make them second class citizens through civil disruption, a silent coup against Trump, and even assassinating police.  When a pack of young white liberals surround a successful black woman and yell “white supremacist” at her they are proven to be truly living in a delusion of their own world view and should not have the power to corrupt the vote.

I would almost be in favor of it. At least raise the age back up to 21. It’s clear most 18-year-olds are too mush-headed and immature to know how to vote intelligently.

Democracies devolve into mob rule; representative democracies devolve into oligarchies, which is what we have now. Even if POTUS cleans out the deep state and puts all the conspirators in Gitmo, some time in the future the same thing will happen. He has to repeal the 17th amendment, giving control of DC back to the staes and move the swamp out of the Beltway. Although the last is on his TODO list, I doubt if getting rid direct election of the Senators is on his list. Others that’ll help are abolishing the IRS (income tax) – not the same as no taxation, putting the Federal Reserve under control of the Treasury, abolishing lobbyists, getting rid of he Circuit Courts (corruption to the finest), and institute term limits -12 years for Congress and 8 for POTUS. This is 6 terms for a House member and 2 terms for Senators. This will force us to get more involved in the national discussion.

No, it’s not. Giving women the right to vote is okay. What is the problem is the lack of education of most women resulting in their voting Democrat for dumb reasons. The real Amendment that needs to be repealed is the 26th that gives the right to vote to anyone 18 years or older because they could be subject to the draft. This is absurd. No one should have their voting rights abridged for arbitrary reasons, but everyone is not qualified to vote just because they draw breath. I think making voting an adult responsibility with exceptions for more mature young people makes far more sense.

        • Lack of education, you say? It’s well known that not only are women miles ahead of men in higher education these days, but people with a college degree are more likely to vote Democrat.

Conservatives are just the other side of the same kosher sandwich and you prove it every time.

College has more to do with a lack of education as most college professors are leftists indoctrinating students into socialism. They can only do this by not teaching what used to be taught that is of value like history and sociology. The only reason most college graduates vote Democrat is because they were taught lies about Republicans and the true nature of socialism. Hell, I voted for Jimmy Carter twice out of college before I saw the truth in Ronald Reagan and began to seriously study politics. But ever since they got the vote the majority of women have always voted Democrat because they pander telling them they will provide for them and all they provide is misery.

Socialism is simply understanding we are social creatures and need to help one another. We also need capitalism so people can “capitalize” on their strengths and have an incentive to climb out of the working class with their ambitions.

Obviously unfettered capitalism will end in monopolistic oligarchy that uses privatization to achieve it’s goals. This is why things like Twitter and Facebook need to be recognized as public spaces and nationalized to protect free speech.

I paint everything black and white because right and wrong are black and white. Being half wrong doesn’t make anyone right. Your understanding of the definition of socialism is radically confused. Socialism refers to a political ideology of an elite class ruling over the masses who are all made economically equal. It is not about “helping” people and being sociable. Capitalism is about a free trade economic system, not about capitalizing on personal strengths. Just because words sound or are spelled alike doesn’t make them identical or interchangeable. “Unfettered” capitalism is just a code word for corruption. Republicans have always fought corporate corruption which is why we have unions and anti-monopoly laws. Democrats fought against unions until they were able to take charge of them under mob bosses to make them Democrat piggy banks. We don’t need Facebook and Twitter to be nationalized. We only need laws limiting their corporate bosses from suppressing free speech with their algorithms designed to determine what gets put on people’s news feeds by weeding out conservatism. If that doesn’t work then they will go the way of the Dodo bird and just be echo chambers for liberals.

            • Also.. aren’t you a traditional Christian? It seems you fail the word of God when you say women should be given the vote. It’s clearly spelled out that no woman should rule over a man.

Just what do you think a “traditional Christian” is that women wouldn’t be allowed to vote? Perhaps you’d like to quote to me from the Bible where it says what you think you’re claiming?

Your vote is your voice. My wife is well aware of this. Women do not belong in politics. Period. Bloody hell, man… How much mental gymnastics do you have to do in order to avoid cognitive dissonance?

It’s not cognitive dissonance to understand what is meant in this quote when taken in context. It is cognitive dissonance to take a quotation out of context separately from the paragraph in which it is written. Timothy was stating that only men should be leading the church and instructing in the Bible. The quote refers to men and women in church, not in government and not as civilians in a democracy. It does not say that women are not allowed to vote in anything nor does it say women are not allowed to lead in government.

It is the state of the world when people acknowledge God; when God is honored and worshipped and respected—the Kingdom is present.

Throughout the Gospels, you can find Jesus teaching on the characteristics of His Kingdom people as they reflect the character of God in the world. The Church was never about brick and mortar. It was always greater than that. It was about a way of being in the world.

Jesus tells Peter he is the rock of the Church. He affirms His disciple Peter’s faith and character, and says that he will be the foundation of the Kingdom community as it grows.

Jesus isn’t hiring Peter—a fisherman by trade—as a subcontractor to erect a building with a steeple. He only notes Peter’s devotion, and tells him to continue the Kingdom work he’d already begun. He is to steward the people of God: no building campaign, no weekly services.

I’ve probably read the Bible more thoroughly than your pastor, who is probably banging your wife behind your back.

It’s always amusing when a leftist atheist tells a Christian what Jesus would do. 😀 Just because you know what the Bible says doesn’t mean you understand it. When you lack a moral compass you lack the moral intelligence with which to debate.
