Obama freed five top Taliban leaders to save Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, a man his platoon mates say deserted his post to seek out the Taliban in 2009. They said he posted on his Facebook page that he hates America and deliberately sought out the Taliban in Afghanistan to convert to Islam and become a Jihadi against America. Making the announcement of the trade in the Rose Garden with Bergdahl’s parents, his father praised Allah in Arabic for his release.
Democrats say these men who have served, fought, and bled for this country are liars trying to smear his name. They have cursed and threatened these soldiers denying that any charges were ever brought against the missing Bergdahl. Susan Rice, the secretary who infamously blamed a video for the Jihadi attack on America’s embassy in Libya that left the ambassador and three Americans dead, declared that Bergdahl served with honor despite defecting to the enemy just for the fact that he signed up.
Bergdahl, for whom Obama said he made the trade because he was gravely ill, is in excellent health. Hillary Clinton says the five Taliban leaders are no threat to the United States. Isn’t that what her husband said about Osama bin Laden in 1998 when he turned down opportunities to capture or kill him?
When the Left does wrong it’s got to be right because of their good intentions. What difference does it make? The road to Hell is paved with good intentions.
When Obama and Hillary abandoned Americans at the Libyan embassy to be captured and killed, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, when questioned why answered, “What difference, at this point, does it make?” (Is that what she said to the families of those who were killed?) Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who has become infamous for his slanders he utters on the Senate floor for which he is free from prosecution, asked the same question about Obama trading the top five Taliban leaders for an army deserter and traitor.
The difference it makes it that Obama and the Democrats are freeing terrorists for whom American soldiers fought and died to capture so they can wage Jihad on America once again. They told them, ‘if they take up arms again, they do so at their own risk,’ that surely left them quaking in their boots. Obama and Clinton left our ambassador to Libya and his staff to be slaughtered by Jihadis. Now they give these Jihadis their freedom and say America is safe.
