A Sudanese woman who married an American Christian has been found guilty of apostasy and sentenced to be whipped until dead. Meriam Yahya Ibrahim was given four days to recant her conversion to Christianity to which she replied it is better to die with Jesus in your heart than Muhammad on your lips. Meriam is eight months pregnant and her eighteen month old son is in jail with her. Her sentence is to be carried out after she gives birth.
Jesus vs. Muhammad on accepting or rejecting them:
In the Koran Muhammad says, “Whosoever will, let him believe, and whosever will, let him disbelieve,” (Quran18:29) and, “There is no compulsion in religion. The right direction is distinct from error” (Quran 2:256).
However, in the Hadith Muhammad says, “Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him.” – Bukhari 9.84.57
Abd-Allah ibn Masood said : The Messenger of Allah said : “It is not permissible to shed the blood of a Muslim who bears witness that there is no god except Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah, except in one of three cases : a soul (in case of murder) ; a married person who commits adultery ; and one who leaves his religion and separates from the main body of Muslims.” Sahih Al Bukhary number 6484 and Sahih Muslim number 1676
In the Gospels Jesus said, “And whoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when you depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.” – Matthew 10:14
In the New Testament the Apostles did no different than they were told.
The difference is that the Hadith was written as a complete biography of Muhammad’s life, whereas the Koran was written as he directed.
In the Koran Muhammad gives exception to those who profess rejection of Muhammad with their lips, but not in their heart as acceptable;
Any one who, after accepting faith in Allah, utters Unbelief,- except under compulsion, his heart remaining firm in Faith – but such as open their breast to Unbelief, on them is Wrath from Allah, and theirs will be a dreadful Penalty. – Sura 16:106
Jesus says, “But he that denies me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.” – Luke 12:9
