President Obama thinks an economy grows by spending money. This is liberal backwards think. Before you can spend money, you have to make money.
But for a Democrat president with the power of the Federal Reserve behind him it’s easy to make money – you print it or you borrow it. For the rest of Americans that means having a job or living on welfare. With the government needing to suck more and more money from people in taxes to provide basic sustenance for more millions of people living on welfare, that means less money for businesses to grow and create jobs.
Money to create jobs comes from profits, a dirty word to liberals. Without the money to create jobs, businesses shrink. The solution, according to Obama, is for business owners to make less money and give more to their employees. Socialist Russia and China both found that forcing people to work for the benefit of others over themselves does not motivate people, but discourages them.
The American Dream is based on the premise that in America people are free from government oppression to prosper from their own labor and acquire wealth. In Obama’s America people are free to work for the benefit of others so those others may prosper with them. In his mind this may be a Christian ideology, but to those who work and pay those high taxes it is slavery to the state.
Obama says that Americans who have worked their whole lives to save their wealth for retirement are being told they must give back their “fair share.” He believes that they owe the poor because they “took that wealth from them,” used their labor to amass their fortunes. Democrats keep saying the gap between the wealthy and poor is widening, but how can it not when wages go up while zero remains zero? The poor are not losing money because the wealthy are hording it, but because government is confiscating it and the jobs along with it.
Meanwhile the Democrats in power in Washington are now among the wealthiest people in America, and Republicans are begging for a piece of the pie, giving themselves platinum pensions, Cadillac healthcare, and bypassing laws like insider trading, while forcing what they want on the people. Only conservatives like Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, and Paul Ryan, to name a few, are fighting for the working man. Democrats have successfully advertised themselves as the party of the working man and cast Republicans are the party of the rich. Yet when the last hundred years of working in America is examined the opposite is found to be true. The Left “does not agree with that.”
Six months after announcing that he “saved Detroit” by investing in workers, the city that forty years ago was one of the wealthiest in America and under 100% Democrat rule the last thirty years, became the largest city ever to declare bankruptcy. But the Detroit government is larger and its members wealthier than ever, only their tax base has disintegrated. And Obama promises that, “If you’re willing to work hard and discipline yourself and defer gratification, you can make it, too.” Just be prepared to give it to the government. This is Obama’s America.
Obama at Knox College said all the right things about American ingenuity, determination, and living the dream. He speaks of growing the economy while all of his policies are tearing it down. His true plan is revealed in his idea of income redistribution rather than through income creation. And finally he takes no responsibility for the outcome of his policies but blames conservative Republicans in Washington as the cause.
