A debate about the substantive issues that face America – what we should have gotten the first time.

Last night’s debate was what the first debate should have been; a serious discussion of substantive issues that face this nation.  Trump should not have prejudged it based on the first debate where they were all thrown bombs to see how bulletproof they would be against liberal smears.  As it was, it allowed everyone to go after Cruz and for Rubio and Paul to shine.

Donald Trump may still win after doing what Reagan did by skipping his last debate, but Trump is no Reagan.  Ronald Reagan was a humble man.  If Megyn Kelly upset him so much, just wait till he is the GOP candidate and MSNBC unleashes their usual smear campaign against him.

When Ted Cruz quipped, “If you ask one more mean question I may have to leave the stage,” he was so deadpan that many probably thought he was being serious rather than taking a funny shot at Trump.  Learn to smile Ted.  (“But I was smiling.”  :D)  Cruz is man with the intellect and personality traits of Mr. Spock!

It remains to be seen if Trump’s scorn of FOX will aid or hurt him.  Trump already has his fanatic followers who attack anyone for even questioning him.  Like Obamabots, the Trumpsters believe every word he says and believe Ted Cruz is a nasty liar and FOX is part of the establishment GOP.

This kind of cult of personality is as dangerous to America this election as it proved to be the last.  Trump is eminently more qualified to be president than Obama ever dreamed.  Quite the opposite of Obama, he won’t bring in ignorant fools who believe socialism works, but businessmen who will help America recover.

The danger lies in how he will treat those who are not his enemies, but who merely disagree with some policy of his.  Obama has cost citizens millions in petty attacks, not to mention the trillions he’s given to his Wall Street friends who don’t care if the American taxpayer goes bankrupt.  America needs a president who will help us recover from what America’s enemies have wrought and punish them, not the common man who speaks ill of the Imperious Leader the way Obama has.

“No government experience?” Obama has plenty of “government experience” in getting himself elected to positions in which he has no idea how to behave by pandering and demagoguery. A person in the executive position must understand how things work like business. All the people Obama appointed to positions to oversee and alter business are not experienced in business, but are academics with the ideology that government should run business. That is why American businesses are dying.

Trump became a billionaire through building a success business empire. He knows how businesses succeed and what people make them do so. What more qualification for a successful executive is there than that? Americans need a leader who will take government’s boot off of business’ throat.
